This months’s top viewing picks!

It’s been a bumper month of viewing pleasure and we bring you some of our favourites.  Hope you love them as much as we have!

The Trump Show (BBC iplayer)

A fascinating 4 part documentary on the inside story of Trump’s residency resulting in his highly publicised downfall. Absolutely gripping and terrifying at the same time and will make you seriously question how Trump managed to remain in office for the full 4 years!

Pelé – Birth of a Legend (Amazon Prime/ Sky Store)

Tells the story of the soccer player Edson Arantes de Nascimento, known worldwide as Pelé. The movie focuses on his early life up until 1958 when the 17 year old helped clinch the World Cup victory against Sweden.  A great watch for all those budding football players.

Succession (HBO)

Quoted as the best television show you will ever experience!  The Logan family are known for controlling the biggest media and entertainment company in the world. Their world changes when their father steps down from the company. A third season was confirmed earlier this month.

Lupin (Netflix)

According to sources, the Netflix hit of the year so far. Five episodes and more to come later this year. This is the retelling of the classic French story about the adventures of Arsène Lupin, the world famous gentleman thief and master of disguise.  Who sets out to avenge his father for an injustice inflicted by a wealthy family.

The Pembrokeshire Murders (ITV)

This three part television series is based on the Pembrokeshire Murders by serial killer John Cooper.  These were a notorious set of unsolved crimes, which were reinvestigated by Detective Superintendent Steve Wilkins and his team to reveal how justice was finally able to be served.  A very good adaption of a real life crime investigation.

Call My Agent (Netflix)

A brilliant French (subtitled) comedy/drama series following the daily pursuits at a top Paris talent agency as they try to keep their star clients happy and business afloat. Fast-paced, funny and apparently the show that all the big stars are trying to get a part in.  It’s already four seasons in so plenty to get stuck into!
